THE GROUP S n . BASIC PROPERTIES

چکیده
The group Sn, n ≥ 1, is usually defined as the group of all permutations of the set Xn = {1, 2, . . . , n}. So, an element s ∈ Sn is a bijection (i.e., one-to-one map) from Xn to Xn : k 7→ s(k). The composition of two such map is denoted by s1 ◦ s2 : k 7→ s1 ( s2(k) ) . It is convenient to depict the permutation s as follows. Take two copy of Xn represented as column vectors and draw a system of n arrows joining element k of the first copy with the element s(k) of the second copy. To depict the composition s1◦s2 we use three copies of Xn. Then we join elements of the first copy with elements of the second one according to map s1 and elements of the second copy with elements of the third one according to map s2. Finally, we erase the second copy and “straighten” the broken lines joining elements of the first and third copies. We get the picture of s1 ◦ s2.

Adsorption of H2S molecule on TiO2/Au nanocomposites: A density functional theory study
The adsorption of hydrogen sulfide molecule on undoped and N-doped TiO2/Au nanocomposites was investigated by density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The results showed that the adsorption energies of H2S on the nanocomposites follow the order of 2N doped (Ti site)>N-doped (Ti site)>Undoped (Ti site). The structural properties including bond lengths, angles<span id="...
متن کاملEffect of gallic acid on electrophysiological properties and ventricular arrhythmia following chemical-induced arrhythmia in rat
Objective(s): Ventricular arrhythmias including ventricular tachycardia (VT) and ventricular fibrillation (VF) are the most important causes of mortality rate. Gallic acid (GA) has beneficial effects on cardiovascular diseases. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of GA on electrophysiological parameters such as QRS complex, heart rate (HR), PR interval pa...
متن کاملA theoretical investigation of the interaction of Immucillin-A with N-doped TiO2 anatase nanoparticles: Applications to nanobiosensors and nanocarriers
Objective(s): Adsorption of IMMUCILLIN-A (BCX4430) molecule on the pristine and N-doped TiO2 anatase nanoparticles were studied using the density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The adsorption energy analysis indicated that TiO2+IMMUCILLIN-A complexes including OC-substituted TiO2 have higher adsorption energy than the complexes with OT substituted TiO2, thus providing mo...
متن کاملDynamic age-related changes of extracellular field potential of isolated AV-node of rabbit
Introduction: Developmental changes in atrioventricular nodal conduction time and refractoriness have been shown in several studies. Prevalence of atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) is clearly age-dependent. The purpose of this study was to determine developmental changes of basic and frequency-dependent electrophysiological properties of the atrioventricular node (AV-node)...
